Sabré Course

A lot of people have expressed an interest in learning some sabré fencing.

As there is not enough time in the normal club session for Gerad to train fencers in another weapon, the club will be running a separate training session after the normal session on Sunday 9th June 2013, from 12.00-2.00pm.

The session will cover:

1.     The basics of sabre fencing (the grip, the cut, footwork etc.)

2.     Definition of an attack and Right of Way (ROW) in sabre

3.     Parrying in sabré

4.     Electric sabre fencing

5.     Compound attacks in sabre

6.     Some tactics to get you winning

At the end of the session you should know enough to fence on your own, and even win a few matches!

The session will be £10 per fencer.

Please note that all attendees must be over 13 and have been fencing another weapon for at least 3 months.
