Lewes Fencing Club starts it’s summer term on Sunday 1st July.
To help you get the most out of your summer and to provide regular fencing throughout the main holiday period we’ve made some changes to our regular arrangements.
Fencing during July and September
The club will operate as normal during these two months with fencing and coaching available on July 1st, 8th, 15th and 29th and September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. Times will remain at 10am – 12noon (11.30am finsh for juniors). The normal kit policy arrangements will apply. (Please see below for details on the Club competition taking place on 22nd July).
The cost for these 9 sessions will be £30 for children and £45 for adults. Pay as you go prices for Piste fencers are £5 for children and £8 for adults. All fees are due on 1st July.
Fencing during August
If you want to keep up your fencing during August we are offering to run Piste only sessions (with no coaching) on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. These sessions will be be dependent on confirmed bookings so if you are interested in attending please let us know so we can plan the staff resource. We will firm up dates over the next few weeks and will post confirmation on the club website at http://e24.fba.mytemp.website/ each Friday before the Sunday.
The Piste sessions will be open to anyone who already fences Piste, or who has approval from Gerad Harmer – please discuss with Gerad prior to August. To fence on the Piste you will need the required equipment (see our website or ask). If you are missing anything the club may be able to lend you the equipment, a small non refundable deposit will be required.
The fees for August will be £3 per week (Junior/Student) and £4 (Adult) if you normally pay quarterly, or £5 and £8 per week if you already fence on the Piste on a pay as you go basis. If you have paid an annual fee you can fence for no additional cost
Team Competition – 22nd July.
We will be holding our first Team competition and this is a great chance for you to have a go at a competition in a friendly atmosphere. Teams of 3 or 4 fencers will be formed to compete against other club members and some invited guests. The competition will be split into two parts: under 14’s and 14+. To take part you will need full kit which the club can provide. There will be no coaching on this week. More details will follow closer to the date.
Thank you for supporting Lewes Fencing Club. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
