We had a good turn out on the 12th, 10 fencers on 4 pistes leading to lots of fencing.
We had definite commitment from enough fencers to allow us to hold fencing again this weekend so we will be holding a Piste Only Fencing session on Sunday the 19th August between 10am and 12pm.
To confirm, August fencing is open to those comfortable fencing ‘On Piste’ and or have had confirmation from Gerad to do so. We are also not bringing the full Club equipment so you will need to bring your own kit or if you normally borrow then please confirm what you require including sizes prior to the session, please email this to enquires@lewesfencingclub.org.uk. (nb there have been a few issues with email so please keep trying and we will reply to confirm receipt)
Whilst not required it would be good if you could email us if you would like to fence on the 19th, this will allow us to book the correct space at the leisure centre and to bring enough Piste equipment.
We Will NOT be fencing the 26th August (bank holiday weekend) but will be back as normal on the 2nd September.
UPDATE: The taster session at Lancing that was to run on the 26th August is now running on the 2nd September: Rob Parsons is delivering a couple of taster sessions between 10am and 12pm at Lancing Leisure Centre, he is planning on having a couple of Pistes for experienced fencers so that those doing the tasters can see the ‘Point’ (see what I did there 🙂 )
Cost is £5 per visits Junior or Adult but you must have all your own kit as none will be provided on the day.
Address is Lancing Leisure Centre, Manor Road, Lancing (where the big park is on the right), it’s signposted ‘Impulse Leisure’
