Della and Finley (Thor) enjoyed attending the epee training course by Indigo Escrime Fencing at the Davison Leisure Centre Worthing.
Each course is different and there are always lots to learn & enjoy. We expect there to be other opportunities next year. Anyone interested in joining the course or coming to watch or who would like to take part in a taster session, contact Maggie Maynard on 07939 070 390 or maggie@sea-lodge.co.uk for further information.

Our club are proud to have hosted the SE Region Epee this year. It was a great success & gave those that came the opportunity to compete or watch and gain some insight into the British Fencing competition scene. We have been invited to consider hosting it next year. Open to fencers 13 and over on the 1st January 20 with BF membership.

Competitions
The next local competitions include:-
Saturday  21st September Hampshire Open Epee
Saturday 30th November Sussex Open Epee *Senior open is open to any 13’s and over on the day

SPITFIRE (formerly the TWIT) The TWIT has been renamed the SPITFIRE (Steven Paul Invitational Team Friendly Italian Relay Event) a fitting tribute to such a great coach.  We have been asked to put a team together, those of you have done it in the past know its great, albeit it full on day of fencing and socialising.  We can enter male/female or mixed teams of 3 or 4 people.  It will run on Saturday 28th September 2019.  Please see Gordon or Della if you would like to take part.

Signing in and out
If you’re planning on leaving your kids with us during the club session please make sure you sign your child in at the beginning & out at the end. If you are happy for them to leave on their own let us know.

Contact and Emergency Forms
We are annually renewing the contact forms that we have for each of our members, we will be starting this process during the next term, it would be really helpful if you could return them ASAP.

BFA Membership
Whilst the Club is covered by BFA membership for club courses etc the BFA are starting to insist that ALL people fencing in a BFA club shouldhave at least a starter or recreational membership. To find out more &purchase your membership visit the membership section of the BFA website
